Coro Duette
Coro Duettes are pins or brooches which are comprised of at least three separate parts that can be worn individually or as one piece. The Duette consists of a frame made specifically to hold two pin clips (or fur clips) in a fixed position so that together they can be worn as a brooch. Duettes are often missing components and therefore those pieces which are complete are much more valuable. Marked as "Coro" with a patent number, this piece is in excellent condition.

1950′s Aurora Borealis Crystal Bead Pin
Beads and beaded jewelry was wildly popular throughout the 1950’s. By the beginning of the 1950’s Japan had re-kindled it's jewelry industry and sought to fulfill the growing market in the U.S. for quality pieces of well made jewelry. Marked "Japan", this Crystal bead pin is a wonderful example of why these post war pieces have become a popular collectable. Clustered on a 1.5 inch round base, the multicolored Aurora Borealis Crystal Beads were all hand set. Priced well below value, this pin would be a perfect starter piece for the new collector.

Art Deco Rhinestone Fur Clip
The era commonly referred to as “Art Deco” became known as such after the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (which was held in Paris in 1925). The Exposition was dedicated for the most part to the jewelry arts. The jewelry of the Art Deco period features modern, almost industrial designs consisting of geometric lines and angles. Art Deco jewelry is highly prized by collectors around the world. This piece is classic in design and magnificent in its execution. A fur clip, it can also be adapted as a brooch, scarf clip, choker (when clipped to a ribbon tied elegantly on one's neck) or belt buckle. The red/black/silver rhinestone combination is breathtaking.

Enameled Georgian Lapel Pin
Part of the Port of Mystery's collection from the Georgian Era, this lapel Pin is both delicate and understated. The "C" clasp is an indicator of an origin date no later than 1900. There is no rollover or locking mechanism and the C extends approximately 75% around the circle and bends inward. These clasps were used almost exclusively through the Georgian era right up until 1900. Well over a hundred years old, this piece is in exceptional condition.

Silver Lapel Pin
This Silver Lapel Pin was individually fashioned by an unknown artist, who unfortunately did not mark his (or her) masterpiece. The center piece of the pin is a sizeable Turquoise Stone. Fashioned with a classic South Western flavor, this Lapel Pin retains it's popular appeal even today. Dating back to a period of time before it became usual practice to irradiate Turquoise in order to "enhance" the color, this Pin Circa dates to 1940-1950.

Mother of Pearl Sterling Lapel Pin
Circa 1850-1900. A Mother of Pearl Victorian Pin, set in Sterling Silver. The "c" clasp is a clue to the age of this simple, but elegant pin. Well over one hundred years ago this piece was hand wrought by a skilled jeweler. The piece has been left with the original patina so that the new owner can decide for themselves whether to polish it to a high shine, or leave the proof of graceful aging.

3 pc set Pin and Earrings
Bright Orange "Moon Glow" Lucite beads are the focal point in this demi-parure. Considered to be "cutting edge" and innovative when introduced during the 1940's and 1950's, Collectable plastic jewelry is divided into three basic categories: Celluloid, Bakelite and Lucite. Jewelry created using plastics from that period are not only beautiful, they are durable, quality pieces and are highly collectable to those "in the know". This earring/brooch set is a fine example of "plastics" done right......
