The necklace is secured by a J-hook and bead chain which is likewise in unrestored condition. Original, unrestored jewelry in good condition carries a higher value on the collectable market than similiar pieces that have been altered. Measuring 17 inches from end to end, this necklace is a classic rendition of a wardrobe staple from an era long since passed.....and yet, this piece easily transitions into the "Retro" wardrobe of today's fashionista. In the 1950's small lapel pins were worn in clusters and were known as "Scatter pins". Very popular at the time, these small pins remain very collectable to this day. This pin was obviously worn in it's day and has some wear to the back of the piece. The wear is not obvious when the pin is being worn, however as a collectable the value is somewhat diminished anytime the piece is less than perfect. Priced accordingly, this piece is bargain at twice the price!
