Beads and beaded jewelry was wildly popular throughout the 1950’s. By the beginning of the 1950’s Japan had re-kindled it's jewelry industry and sought to fulfill the growing market in the U.S. for quality pieces of well made jewelry. Marked "Japan", this Crystal bead pin is a wonderful example of why these post war pieces have become a popular collectable. In the 1950's small lapel pins were worn in clusters and were known as "Scatter pins". Very popular at the time, these small pins remain very collectable to this day.
