Miriam Haskell jewelry has been know through the years for its high quality workmanship, designs, and materials. The jewelry pieces were handmade and handset using goldtone metal, an antique Russian gold metal finish developed by Haskell and Frank Hess. Beads and beaded jewelry was wildly popular throughout the 1950’s. By the beginning of the 1950’s Japan had re-kindled it's jewelry industry and sought to fulfill the growing market in the U.S. for quality pieces of well made jewelry. Marked "Japan", this Crystal bead pin is a wonderful example of why these post war pieces have become a popular collectable.
