1950′s Aurora Borealis Crystal Bead Pin

By the beginning of the 1950’s Japan had re-kindled it's jewelry industry and sought to fulfill the growing market in the U.S. for quality pieces of well made jewelry. Art Deco Rhinestone Fur Clip
The era commonly referred to as “Art Deco” became known as such after the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (which was held in Paris in 1925). The Exposition was dedicated for the most part to the jewelry arts. The jewelry of the Art Deco period features modern, almost industrial designs consisting of geometric lines and angles.
