Coro Duettes are pins or brooches which are comprised of at least three separate parts that can be worn individually or as one piece. The Duette consists of a frame made specifically to hold two pin clips (or fur clips) in a fixed position so that together they can be worn as a brooch. Her venue in the beginning was found in the streets of San Francisco where she sold pieces displayed in fishing tackle boxes. Laurel launched her business in the 1960's . She went to China in 1971 and discovered cloisonne' with which she designed paintings and had the designs made into earrings. These earrings, now a part of the Port of Mystery collection, are examples of that creative process.
