In business from 1945 thru 2000, the Alice Caviness Jewelry Company makes pieces that are distinctive and unusual. Caviness Jewelry was sold only in high-end boutique and department stores and fine jewelry shops in United States, and they were very selective as to who carried their jewelry. Since it was a special line of jewelry with many fewer pieces made than companies like Coro and Trifari, it is difficult to find today, and very collectible.  These clip back earrings are of a color and form commonly referred to as “Fruit Salad” in the trade. A Caviness piece of jewelry is a staple in any well rounded jewelry collection.

Coro Duettes are pins or brooches which are comprised of at least three separate parts that can be worn individually or as one piece.  The Duette consists of a frame made specifically to hold two pin clips (or fur clips) in a fixed position so that together they can be worn as a brooch.  Duettes are often missing components and therefore those pieces which are complete are much more valuable.  Marked as "Coro" with a patent number, this piece is in excellent condition.
