A sweet little bird Lapel Pin set with a faux opal feature glass stone.  Figural’s are a particularily popular type of collectable jewelry.  The seasoned vendor at any jewelry show will tell you that figurals are always in demand.  For Aunt Bessie (who collects ‘cats’), Uncle Tom (who collects ‘golf” items) or your mother (bees), father (fish) or sister (butterflys) or brother (ducks), figurals are the perfect gift!  For the collector, figurals are easily displayed and organized.  A great way to start any jewelry collection is to begin “collecting” a type of figural.  It really is addictive and often leads to bigger and better collections. This 1950′s pin would be a great ‘starter’ piece.
